The match between the USA and Hungary was tense from the very first minute. Both teams pretended to get to the Championship final, therefore none of them wanted to give the third place. Margaret Steffens, the American water polo player who is in the top ten of best scorers of the tournament, again showed a high class in scoring the goals. With the gap of three goals the team of the United States got the third place of the World Championship.11:8 (4:2, 3:3, 2:2, 2:1).

     Kyle UTSUMI, head coach of the USA: - Today was more successful, than yesterday. We played with greater energy, that led to success. As a whole I am happy with the results of the Championship; after this tournament my girls will be ready to play in adult game.

     Rita KESZTHELYI, water polo player of Hungary: - The Americans played today better than we did, we were confused a little. After yesterday's loss we seem to have more energy for the today's match, but we were not lucky enough.
