HUNGARY – RUSSIA
8:13 (0:3, 3:5, 1:3, 4:2)

First minutes of game the Russians scored three goals into the Hungarian gate. The destiny of the semifinal meeting was clear already in the first period of the game; being seriously behind in the first period, the Hungarian national team could not level the score any more. The Russian water polo player Ksenia Ivanchishina, who managed to score two goals and to rise on a step above in the struggle for the best scorer of the championship, distinguished herself in today's game.

Mikhail NAKORYAKOV, the head coach of the Russian national team: - We well know the team of Hungary, this year we played together two times. Hungary is known as the best scoring team, we had to think over how to neutralise their attacks.
