CANADA – AUSTRALIA 4:3 (0:1, 1:2, 1:0, 1:0, 1:0, 0:0)
The teams of Canada and Australia are included into the number of the strongest teams in the current championship. In the first period both national teams had a number of unsuccessful attacks. Both of the teams couldn’t score a goal for a long time. During all the game the competitors didn’t allow each other to relax for a minute. To prove the advantage in the game the national team of Canada needed extra time and only at the last second of the first overtime, together with the whistle about the extra time finishing, the Canadians scored a decisive goal in the game.
Damani NISHANT, the head coach of the Canadian team: - Both teams were almost equal in strength, the extra time helped to put everything into place. But in the end of the match we were lucky, today the stars are shining over Canada.
Peter SZILAGYI, the head coach of the Australian national team: - Our dreams of a victory were broken yesterday. And today's game was physically difficult for us because there were many accurate attacks, and the competitor team practically had no mistakes.
