Greg McFadden, the head couch of the Australian women’s national team, who came to the World junior women’s championship in Khanty-Mansiysk, shared the Australian water players’ secret of success.

      - Sport in Australia is very popular, that is why children are usually fond of some kind of sport.

     However, water polo is still not very attractive for them as basketball, tennis and swimming. It has been developing since the 1970s. At that time we got a good preliminary base including special training programs of different difficulty for every age group. Probably that is what the reason of Australian water players’ success is all about. But generally the secret of victories is in constant improving skills and in good luck, of course.

     - By the number of medals the Australian women water polo teams achieved the best results nowadays. And why are the men behind?

     - That is definitely difficult question for us. In water polo competition there are a lot of very strong men teams which show quite hard game. But as we can see women teams are very skilled as well, that makes the game more tense. Probably that is not as good as seems to be.

     – How were you met in Khanty-Mansiysk? What are your impressions of the city?
