This was announced by the chairman of Ugra committee on physical training and sports Victor Maigurov. “All the services are well-prepared. For holding the competitions of different levels the Organizing Committee has got an efficient tested scheme of all city and okrug structures cooperation. Of course there were some difficulties, but they were quickly cleared away”.
     The chief executive of the organizing committee Nickolay Bondarev stated that today in Ugra there is an its own professional water polo team which is trained by qualified coaches. “While holding competitions we pursue the definite object – to involve the youth in sports. The Championship in Khanty-Mansiysk will let water polo in the autonomous okrug go up. I hope that after these contests Ugra children will join the sport clubs of the region”.
     15 National teams will take part in the Junior Women’s Water Polo World Championship. The team of Mexico gave up due to the lack of funding because of the financial crises.
     Director of the FINA Technical Committee Gianni Lonzi hopes for a great success of the present tournament: “Very strong teams have come to compete and they will make the contest exciting and unpredictable. Maybe in the near future, besides the International Biathlon completions, Water Polo World championships will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk”.
