The goalkeeper of the Russian junior national team shared her impressions of the World championship in Khanty-Mansiysk.

     The Russian national team got to preliminary group with very strong competitors – the Netherlands team and the USA. Is this an advantage, as after the victory over them the team gained an extra confidence or is it a disadvantage, as you have spent a lot of strength?
     I guess it is good. This case didn’t let us relax from the very beginning. Today we have a day off, but tomorrow - back to fight. I think further our competitors will be not weaker than we have had. But we’ll try to win because our aim is the first place.

     What did the Russian national team do better in preliminary stage and what kind of problem did you have?
     Difficult to say. Everything is quite good now but there are mistakes too. Sometimes emotions or hurry prevent a good game, and in a result passes are not successful and it is not possible to catch the ball.

     Anna, you have happened to play on adult championship and now in junior teams matches. Do you fill the difference as a goalkeeper – for example, in the power of a throw?
     I have just started to play with adult teams. But the power of a throw is definitely considerably different. Here it is a little easier for me. Besides in the game itself there are some distinctions.

     What are your impressions of tournament in whole?
     At this championship I’m impressed with the number of participant countries. This is very interesting. Here are all facilities for the sportsmen during trainings, games and rest. The main thing that we are in Russia and as you know there is no place like home. Fans support us a lot and help in the crucial point of the game.

     How were you met at Khanty-Mansiysk?
     I like here a lot. I’m for the second time in Khanty-Mansiysk, first I was here at one of the stages of the championship of Russia. At this time we walk with pleasure around the central square, have visited show jumping club “Mustang”, stele on the Samarovo hill and the cinema. And everywhere we can see how the inhabitants of Khanty-Mansiysk are friendly. They recognize us on a street and wish as good luck in a game.
